Earlier this month, the Growing Michigan Together Council’s workgroups presented their proposed policy recommendations to the Council for consideration. The workgroups consisted of over 70 diverse Michiganders from all backgrounds who spent approximately 915 collective hours and met 29 times to assemble their ideas. Proposed policy recommendations focus on four key areas including: jobs, talent and people; infrastructure and places; preK-12 education and higher education.

As part of the Council’s work to generate ideas that could grow the population, its public engagement effort has been traveling to every corner of the state listening and gathering feedback from residents to find out what would make Michigan an even better place to call home. Public feedback collected is shared with the Council.
